Job Description

The Product Marketing Senior Manager is responsible for the strategic positioning of the company’s products in the segments we are addressing. His mission is to understand and analyze customer needs, market trends, competition offering and define product offers that meet the company profitability target. He informs, trains, supports the sales team in promoting the products and achieving target sales.

Duties and Responsibilities
Identify and analyze market needs, short term & medium term
Define product offers:
Drive product roadmaps, product functionalities, positioning, cost targets
  • Position product offers vs targeted markets,
  • Define pricing and build price list
  • Perform competitive analysis with support from product manager and technical team
Define and implement marketing programs
  • Package and launch products, drive communication, internal & external promotion
Monitor margins and consolidate forecasts and LRP per product and segment:
Define minimum margin levels and monitor margin achievements
Monitor large volumes offers
Contribute to budget targets definition
Train and support direct and indirect sales forces
Inform distributors and VARs about strategy, products & solutions offering and allow cross distributors fertilization
Train direct and indirect sales forces
Provide with marketing tools: product/solution flyers, power point presentations, demo,
Support direct and indirect sales forces in meetings with customers (strategic presentations, new products...)
Participate when required to tenders for new products & solutions
Establish and develop relationships and partnerships
With business associations
With corporate partners
With key players
Participate as speaker to conferences and events
Main interfaces
With Product Managers:
Provide them with markets and products requirements and constraints: short term and mid-term basis.
Validate that proposed product match with the requirements
Coordinate actions needed for product launch (training....)
Coordinate competitive analysis
With Corporate communication:
Coordinate products communication
Build marketing materials
Coordinate external communications conferences,..)
Excellent level of English
Capacity to take decisions and initiatives
Team player that is motivated, pro-active with a positive attitude towards goal achievement.
Strong communication, presentation, negotiation skills and ability to effectively represent the company
Innovative thinker and problem solver
Oral and written communication
Education :
Master degree Business or Technical
Experience :
10 – 15 years
Technology product & solution company
Dual experience mid-size and large company is a plus
Language :
French, English
